Here is a list of local support services for those who have experienced pregnancy, baby or child loss.

Daphne & Friends CIC

Supports families who have experienced pregnancy, baby or child loss in Walthamstow and surrounding areas. They have a range of peer support groups, to hold space for families at every stage of their journey.

  • Playtime for Babies & Toddlers - a stay-and-play for bereaved families with young children.
  • Grandparents Club - connecting bereaved grandparents online.
  • Dad Darts - for bereaved dads who have experienced pregnancy, baby or child loss. Meets once a month at the Chequers pub in Walthamstow.
  • As You Are - gentle support at every stage of your loss journey.
  • Carrying Love - gentle antenatal care for pregnancy after loss.
  • The Together Library - a lending library for bereaved families at the groups or online. You can donate new or pre-loved books.

Malia's Present

Inspired by her daughter Maila, writer, award-winning baby loss advocate and social media creator, Helena Morais has founded this purpose-driven initiative creating personalised storybooks for babies gone too soon. 

Helena is launching a creative writing workshop in Walthamstow for bereaved families offering a space for honest storytelling. Her work is a mix of grief, creativity and activism grounded in love and the belief that no baby should ever be forgotten.

Supports and advocates for black families across East London following baby loss.

Muslim Bereavement Support

Supports bereaved Muslim women and have a variety of services for families who have experienced baby loss in East London.

Sian Naftal

An integrative counsellor, based in E17, specialising in miscarriage, pregnancy and baby loss as well as pregnancy after loss and maternal mental health.

Sands

The North & East London branch has sadly removed their in person support in East London but they still run some amazing events in North London.
