Get help with anxiety conditions

The NHS have launched a new campaign to encourage people to seek help for six anxiety conditions.

The six conditions featured are body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and social anxiety disorder.

A new NHS survey of over 2,000 adults found that nearly 3 in 5 (58%) delay seeking treatment and support as they feel the conditions are “not serious enough” – with 1 in 5 (21%) not seeking help at all.

The campaign is supported by former Eastenders actress, Shona McGarty, who experienced social anxiety; The Only Way Is Essex's Charlie King, who suffered from BDD and former professional footballer and mental health campaigner, Clarke Carlisle, who had PTSD for a decade.
