Getting a flu vaccination is vital

Your GP advice is that flu is not the same as getting a cold. It can seriously affect your health and the potential complications are greater for people in ‘at-risk’ groups. Healthy people usually recover within two to seven days, but for some the disease can lead to a stay in hospital, or even death. In this unprecedented year, it is vital we do all we can to protect ourselves and others from the virus this winter. The flu vaccine is the best protection for you and those around you. It’s free for those most at risk and community groups  are stressing the importance of getting vaccinated.
