Opportunities for Members of the Public to Shape Health and Social Care Research

The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) is inviting members of the public to join one of its national and regional committees responsible for making funding recommendations in health and social care research.

The committees play an important role in helping to deliver the NIHR’s mission to improve the health and wealth of the nation through research.  Funded by the Department of Health and Social Care, the NIHR is the nation’s largest funder of health and social care research. 

The NIHR is looking for people who have a broad interest in health, social care and actions to improve public health and address health inequalities. You do not need to have a scientific background, just an ability to use your own experiences to improve research!
