Patients Association GP premises survey

August 21, 2020

The Patients Association is currently carrying out a survey to find out, with the easing of lock down, how patients feel about visiting GP surgeries having been away so long.

They want to know if patients are concerned about returning to face-to-face appointments with GPs and practice nurses, what would improve their sense of security, and what measures they think practices should introduce to ensure their  safety. They also want to find out about patients’  experience of virtual appointments particularly in the light of the Health Secretary’s statement about future remote appointments.

They are working with Assura, a company that builds and manages GP surgeries and primary care centres, to run this survey. Assura will use the survey’s findings in the design and management of its buildings, and the results will be shared with primary care leaders.
