Whipps Cross Redevelopment Healthcare Services Strategy Patient Involvement Opportunity

Barts Health NHS Trust are looking to recruit Patient Representatives to be a part of the Healthcare Services Strategy working groups as part of the Whipps Cross Redevelopment.

There are 2 Patient Representative opportunities on each Group, the Groups are:

Surgery – e.g. planned operations, inpatients for surgical patients, day surgery,  outpatients, eye treatment

Medicine – e.g. Inpatients, older people’s medicine, outpatients e.g. Dermatology, Rheumatology, critical care

Urgent Care  – Accident and Emergency and Acute Care Wards, Trauma and Orthopaedic

Women’s and Children’s  – Maternity, Gynaecology, Children’s Outpatients, inpatients and day case

This is a really exciting opportunity to represent the Patient voice in the groups that are planning how we deliver services in our new hospital to meets the needs of our current and future populations.

The working groups are monthly and last 1 ½ hours, they will take place via Microsoft Teams initially. We are also planning Patient workshops to enable a broad range of Patients to share their views and experiences.
