Always helpful and quick to respond.

Last year I was diagnosed with polymyalgia. I was seen quickly and have been treated over the last year. It was easy to get repeat prescriptions and appointments with a doctor. Today, I was able to get an appointment for this afternoon and will be signed off soon. The surgery has an excellent physio and these appointments also helped my recovery.

They always come when I need them to my home. My son books my appointments and never has any problems. I have a blood test tomorrow.

Generally very good, you are seen very quickly and staff listen. However, the service has not been good since lockdown, as you cannot see anybody. The ratings below are for normal times only.

Don’t always get what you want. If I ask for drops for hay fever, doctor won’t prescribe. Don’t like the doctor much, smart and knowledgeable but don’t like him much. Housebound so have to rely on the services. A lot of waiting on the phone - finding this a bother.

The quality of the service is very mixed depending on who you see. Negative experiences with the doctor at the surgery where they seemed very disinterested, for example being busy on their computer and barely looking up when the I arrived, and this puts people off going there. However, the trainee doctors who work there are very good and thorough, so everyone tries to get appointments with them instead.

Not impressed with the main GP at all, but the reception staff are very good and the younger doctors are kind. The surgery can be inefficient. They had noted my husband as a smoker on their system - but he has never smoked!

We've never had any problems and the surgery has always looked after us. Since COVID, the surgery has evening appointments, so it's easier to speak to a doctor the same day if you need to.
