Rude reception staff & Dr's not taking notice

October 20, 2021
When actually through to speak to a Dr they never take notice of my concerns if they took time to read previous notes they would know its ongoing medical issues that were dealt with fine before but two members of staff have left since.

Allum Surgery

July 2, 2021
New phone line?- cannot get through.? You get to No.1 and still wait for over 10 mins.? If you cannot get through phone - advised to come to surgery by 8.00am to try and get appointment - not guaranteed. Old Appointments System - call in morning for AM appointments.? Call in afternoon for PM appointments.

New Appointments System – Call in morning for all day appointments. Failing that call OOH after 12pm for appointment but the overflow runs out of appointments within 15 minutes on the day.

BP Checks – not available. Advised to find local chemist or buy BP machine and do it yourself. Only Gower Pharmacy in local area doing it but charging £5.00. No nurses available to do immediate check if concerned about BP, only if you are already registered with high BP then appointment offered.

No one answers the telephone. Spent five days trying to get through . Eventually on the fifth day of calling and spending 90 minutes of listening to a recorded message the phone was answered.

OK service

April 29, 2021
I have a useful bit of information to share re vaccines. I had my first dose of the Pfizer on 13th Jan, through my GP Allum Practice. So I was hoping to get another call in 12 weeks time for my second. After the 12 weeks I did not hear, so I phoned the surgery, which promptly said I should contact NHS 119. They said since my 1st dose was through I should go back to them. I also tried their website and had the same response. So I went back to the surgery who repeated their earlier message, and then suggested I should phone W/forest townhall. After a long wait they said they will phone me later with a booking which they did. I think one of the reasons why I had this problem was because I heard they were having trouble with their Pfizer supplies, apart from the usual shambles at my surgery. Any way the Town Hall has a special Vaccines help line, which others need to know.

Poor service

Too many patients and not enough GPs. I moved from this practice because it was appalling

They are rude, abrupt and majority need training

December 30, 2020
The service is getting worse! They have a duty of care especially to look after the young and old. Staff sit and talk openly about other patients, they are rude and close the doors before 6.30pm

Not good

October 19, 2020
With COVID, I understand that they are doing the best that they can but it is just not good enough. A lot of things need to change. The staff there are okay but I don't like the way that it is run.

coughing a lot, losing a lot of weight

September 7, 2020
Before they listened to me they told me to call the ambulance straight away which I didn't because if I did I wouldn't be here. I called them again and begged them for a CT scan, which they eventually gave me, because I have been losing a lot of weight even though I am eating .
