Since lockdown have experienced a poor service

March 21, 2021
Since lockdown have experienced a poor service, with problems getting appointments or even telephone appointments since. A negative experience with doctors, such as being prescribed the wrong antibiotics for a urine infection and since then the problem has worsened. Also had issues having calls being returned from doctors when expected and has had to call to chase things up. Once waited two months to get some medication, and after calling to chase this up received it the next day. Have been with the GP 20 years, service used to be really good but has since gone downhill but do not want to change GP as elderly and it is very convenient to access. Main feedback would be to do something to improve GPs, especially since lockdown. While the times are challenging, the service has not been good, people really want to see GPs face-to-face but it is hard to access appointments. I have been in the UK for nearly 50 years and worked the whole time, but now that I'm old and have health problems, I feel like they don’t care.

Friendly staff.

Friendly staff. Communication is by email and phone at the moment, not face-to-face. I had to send a blood pressure reading by email on Friday and the surgery got back to me today, so response time is quite good.

Poor service at the moment

February 10, 2021
The service isn't very good at the moment. My husband was ill at the end of last year and I spent all day trying to get through to the surgery on the phone. I was calling every ten minutes. In the end I had to go back to the Parkinson's nurse, who was able to contact the surgery for me and got the rapid response team out to help us. They need some kind of queuing system.

Fairly bad service overall

February 9, 2021
Although one doctor is excellent and goes beyond the call of duty, the service is fairly bad overall. Communication is generally poor. The doctors don't call at the time they say they will, they ring the landline instead of the mobile, the reception staff don't pick up.

Efficient. Friendly. Helpful. Very supportive when my husband was terminally ill and I had health issues subsequently.

Generally ok service

February 2, 2021
The service is generally okay, and they were excellent in giving follow up care to my mother recently. It is hard to build a rapport with a GP though, and I have never seen the same GP twice. It is also hard to get an appointment and I don't feel comfortable saying it's an emergency to get an appointment the same day.
