Given conflicting information, dissapointing

Hi would like to say the clinic is good but the lady who meant to check me she ended up telling me that my eyes problem is on going and I need to get it checked from opticians. options she gave me leaflets I don't understand why she did it when she did not even check my eyes if this is all true what she said so why they made me wait in first place and plus the places she told me to contact as she said she referred me there and they are free off cost but they are charging actual she even told me that these are places telling them that they are not referring patients to them but how does it for first place I did not expected that really disappointing at least I could have been checked so I wouldn't be unhappy I am sorry if I make anyone unhappy but I wanted to share this.

Generally pretty good care and referred appropriately. The A&E department was poor though and they misdiagnosed.
The service there has been very poor.
Rheumatology

My daughter was referred to the rheumatology department at Whipps Cross for severe arthritis pain. The service there has been very poor. There has been a complete lack of information from the consultant, even though she has had MRI tests done. Also, appointments were set up for her, but we did not receive the letters, and when we missed one of the appointments she was removed from the hospital list and referred back to the doctor again. She is in terrible pain and they still haven't decided on her treatment yet.

The service is okay. I have been under this department both as an in-patient and as an out-patient. The staff have always been friendly, but they don't always explain things unless you chase them. There have also been times when I have been told that I have to have an appointment by a certain date, but the hospital hasn't contacted me, and if I hadn't chased I wouldn't have got the appointment that I needed. Cleanliness isn't always great. On one occasion the toilet was left in a disgusting state.

The consultant was very good and explained everything to me. The hospital staff were very helpful as well.

2 visits only 1 fairly satisfactory consultation. The second was very personal, intrusive and unhelpful. The second visit I waited 3 hours for nothing. I just felt I could’ve been dealt with sooner for the type of consultation given considering there was no treatment. The nurse on reception was amazing, and the first dr on the first visit was also lovely he did try his best but based on my second visit clearly wasn’t the right treatment for me.

Excellent service. My consultant was brilliant and the surgical team were excellent. The only downside is the building itself. The hospital premises are tired and the carparking facilities are abysmal.

I had an extremely positive experience. I was in the maternity ward at Whipps Cross during COVID for a week and the staff were incredible. They were so friendly and professional and the level of care was unbelievable.
