My experience is generally okay but I have skin cancer and have been operated. I needed a referral to the wound clinic but it never happened so now I’m left with a really bad scar. I was on antibiotics had a really hard time because they prescribed me with the wrong antibiotics three times

I have been going to the hospital for cancer treatment. Communication is very good. My appointments have been kept throughout the pandemic and the hospital has stressed several times that I can always contact them if I have any questions. It's very easy for me to contact the specialist nurse if I need to.

Absolutely excellent service from the specialists at the Gastro department. I can email my consultant and get quick answers to enquiries. I would say that A&E and admin across Whipps Cross more generally are terrible though. My operations have been cancelled twice by admin and the surgeon had no idea. It's no use trying to get an answer by phone either. Email is the best way.

A family member was taken to minor injuries and the staff were quite rude, abrupt and unsympathetic. There was a long waiting time, even though there were only a few other people in the unit and we weren't given any updates.

My husband has received excellent care for cancer treatment over the past 4 years. No problems at all. Couldn't have been better.

Although it took a long time to get my cancer diagnosis, the service was very good and the doctors kept me in the loop at each stage. The hospital makes it easy for me to contact the specialist cancer nurses whenever I have questions.
