Admirable service. I am a cancer patient and the hospital is very proactive in checking up on me regularly.

I went to Whipps X as I had a bad skin complaint on my legs. The Consultant said you can always have a District Nurse to do your dressings.I always ask for help from the District Nurse.

Average service

Pain Management Clinic
December 1, 2020
Communication has been very poor. I had to wait over a year for a referral to the pain management clinic. Recently I received a letter saying that I had a telephone appointment. Then, the evening before, I got a call from the hospital saying that the appointment would be in person at the clinic. I explained that the letter said it would be a phone appointment. In the end the consultant called me, and he was excellent. My score for the consultant would be 4, but I would only give 2 for administration because of the confusion.

Very good

I have not been to my GP for ten years. Last time I went I had a gland which became infected. It was removed at Whipps X Hospital. I was in for three to four days. I felt much better when it was removed.

OK service

I had a bout of dizziness so I went to A & E. Ambulance took seven hours to arrive. It was not a heart attack. Doctor tested my heart and it was all okay. I stayed in overnight at Whipps. I saw a cardioligist in Newham Hosp ENT.

I had cancer treatment at Whipps Cross. The staff were amazing and overall expereince was pleasant. Only area of imporvement for me is that the hospital needs slight aesthetic improvement.

The last time I went to my GP was in March. I went for a flu Jab. I went to Whipps X A & E as I hurt my shoulder. They were excellent and dealt with me quickly. Doctor examined me and said I had RSI.I spoke to my GP on the phone and he said to take painkillers.

Poor Service

November 16, 2020
Had a very bad experience when went to the hospital four years ago for breast cancer treatment. Thinks it's better now, but it was a shambles then. Nurses were overworked and crying. No communication between teams. Staff working in isolation. Reliance on agency nurses who were not in the loop. It was always incredibly difficult to get through to reception on the phone. Often the phones were put on silent. Acknowledged that things might be different now.
