Women's Health Hub at Whipps Cross Hospital

NHS North East London have opened a Women’s Health Hub at Whipps Cross Hospital, one of four across north east London, to help you get the right care more easily and quickly, in a place that’s convenient for you.

The Women’s Health Hub provides a one-stop-shop for women’s healthcare. They bring together doctors, nurses and other healthcare specialists to support women with their health needs at different stages of their life.

The Women’s Health Hub supports all women aged 16+ to improve their health, as well as some people who do not identify as women but who also require access to care at the Hub.

You need to be referred by your GP to access a Women’s Health Hub. The Hubs also run regular online Q&A events with local healthcare experts where you can ask questions about your health.

If you are referred to the Women’s Health Hub, you will be able to receive advice and support for a range of different conditions, in a single visit.

Here are just some of the ways the Women’s Health Hub might be able to support you:

  • Treatment for period problems including heavy, painful or irregular bleeding
  • Care for conditions such as endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
  • Menopause
  • Cervical screening
  • Screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV
  • Contraception and Pre-conception care if you are trying for a baby
  • Breast pain assessment and care
