Families praise maternity staff
Families giving birth at Whipps Cross Hospital, Newham Hospital and The Royal London Hospital have praised the compassion, kindness and professionalism of maternity staff across all three hospitals.
The Care Quality Commission conducted a survey of nearly 17,000 NHS maternity service users across England who gave birth in February 2025. The result show some improvement in maternity care experiences, but that further work is needed to ensure safe high-quality care for all.
Over 200 of these respondents used Barts Health NHS Trust maternity services.
At Whipps Cross, parents highlighted the compassion of midwives and said they felt listened to during antenatal appointments and labour.
