Healthwatch to continue following Government announcement

We are pleased to share the news that the Government has announced that Healthwatch England and local Healthwatch organisations will be retained, rather than abolished as previously proposed.
Your Voice Counts

The Government has also committed to strengthening Healthwatch so that people's experiences have an even greater influence on health and social care services.

This is welcome news for everyone who believes that people should have an independent voice in the services they use.

Healthwatch plays an important role in listening to local people, particularly those whose voices are less often heard, and making sure their experiences help shape and improve services.

What does this mean for you?

For now, nothing changes. Your local Healthwatch will continue to listen to your experiences, provide information and advice, and work with health and social care services to make improvements.

We are awaiting further details about the Government's plans to strengthen Healthwatch and what these will mean locally.

We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.

In the meantime, we encourage you to continue sharing your experiences of NHS and social care services with us. Your voice matters, and we are here to make sure it is heard.
