Talking to Looked After Children and Care Leavers; health services and transition

The purpose of this piece of work is to capture the voice of the Looked After Children (LAC) and Care Leavers in Waltham Forest to ensure that Waltham Forest Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), in redesigning services, obtains the right provision of health services that are responsive to their needs, aspirations and preferences.

Since January 2015, Healthwatch Waltham Forest, along with 12 local Healthwatch organisations and the British Deaf Association (BDA) in North, Central and East London have been working on a project to improve access for disabled patients across NHS Trusts.
