Rude, un-professional female Receptionists
They keep patient waiting on a queue for a very long time and then when our turn comes up, they either disconnect the call or says that they can't hear us. I've have been through this experience with them on numerous occasions. Today I had a triage appointment which I made on 10 May and I was told by the female receptionist the appointment was from 08:00 to 12:30 at the time of making the appointment, but I did not get a call in the given time. Around 13:25 I received a text message from the Doctor that he tried to call me but couldn't get me and left a voice message to call back to speak to him. Since 13:30pm I have been trying to get hold of the doctor but after waiting for whole one hour on the telephone queue the receptionist disconnects the call saying that she can't hear me despite I can hear her very clearly and I was speaking very loudly. Then from 14:45 onwards I have been trying to call back but continuously been put on hold and cannot get to speak to some. Finally, I got connected at 16:50, but the female receptionist said the appointment was for 2pm which cannot be right because the doctor tried to call me before that but couldn't get hold of me due to connection issue in my workplace. When I try to explain her the situation, she starts blaming me that it's all my faults and I have to call back again next day to make a new appointment. When I tried to tell her that I was given a wrong info from your surgery she was not interested to listen to me and when I raised my voice that why I am to be blamed for the surgery's un-professional service she disconnected the phone. Similar incident happened when I try to make an appointment for my diabetic nurse first week of May, I was told again by a female receptionist that all appointments are fully booked for next 2 weeks and told me to call back in 2 weeks' time. But when I called a week later a male receptionist offered an appointment for 31 May, which was the only available appointment, there was no other appointment were available for further 2 weeks. If I have waited for another week to call for an appointment, I would have probably been told again by a female receptionist there is no appointment and call back in next 2 weeks' time. The service is getting appalling from bad to worst. Majority of the female receptionists are un-professional, rude and offer very poor service. This appointment system is not working well at all. Patients are suffering in the hand of female receptionists. I appeal your organisation to please look into this issue and make Patients life easy in getting the appointment. Just to make an appointment make the patient sicker. When I joined over 20 years ago The Allum Medical Centre was one the best practice in Leytonstone area.
