The latest Age UK Waltham Forest newsletter includes Pilates Class and Craft Club at the Hub and Veterans Monthly Lunch Club at Leyton Orient, the next Central London History Walk, Bereavement Group and Vegetarian Cookery.
Age UK are also running Digital Inclusion Support and Silver Surfers Lessons, in response to what people have told them they are offering more support around one-to-one support with any techy matters you may have. Perhaps you are stuck with how to access the internet; need some help with using your mobile phone or need some more info on what those random messages are that pop up on your screen. On 24th March there is a techy tea party where you can access one-to-one support – more info in the newsletter on how to book your place and, from April 17th , the Monthly Monday Tech Support Group is also changing – the team will be able to see people face-to-face at the hub to help with your queries.
There are also weekly Silver Surfer sessions which are held in person and on zoom – first part of the session is topic and based and then an open Q&A session for the second part, as the year goes on there will be more hands on sessions as well.
