Explore Epping Forest and help the Whipps Cross Design Project
Local designers Studio Carrom and Vital Arts, the Arts and Health service for Whipps Cross Hospital, would like your help! Later this year they’ll be installing a large-scale artwork on the hoarding along Hospital Road, inspired by the theme of the new hospital building “a hospital within a garden and a garden within a hospital”. The artwork will celebrate the natural beauty found around Whipps Cross and you can help shape its design!
Join Studio Carrom and Tindersticks as they explore the Forest surrounding Whipps Cross Hospital. Be inspired by Epping Forest in autumn and capture your favourite flora and fauna for Studio Carrom to incorporate into their design. You’ll also gather hints and tips on how to capture a great photo. Or you can go micro! Have a go using the microscopes that can attach to your phone camera and study in detail the plants and animals around you.
Tickets are free but need to be booked using the links below. The event on Thursday 20th October from 10.30am to 12.30pm is for people of colour only. The event on Friday 21st October from 11am to 1pm is for NHS Whipps Cross Volunteers only. On Saturday 22 October there is an event for families from 10.30am to 12.30pm and for adults (over 18s only) from 1 -3pm.
