Helping people affected by sight loss

At Whipps Cross hospital, there is an Eye Care Liaison Officer (ECLO) who offers free support to people in our community to access dedicated advice and guidance about their eye condition and resources for living with sight loss.
The service is funded, in partnership, by the Royal National Institute of Blind People and Barts Health NHS Trust. The ECLO has supported 1,446 patients and carers and given advice to 442 professionals since the service’s inception in September 2020.
