Junior doctors strike

Junior doctors who are members of the British Medical Association and the HCSA hospital doctor’s union will be taking part in a 72-hour strike from 7am on Monday 13 March to 7am on Thursday 16 March.

• During strike action the NHS will be prioritising emergency treatment so that patients seeking urgent treatment will be seen. Unfortunately, this means emergency care will be prioritised over some routine appointments and procedures.

• If there are changes to an appointment you have on one of the strike days, you will be contacted beforehand to re-schedule. However, if you do not hear from the hospital, please attend your appointment as usual.

• In the event that industrial action is called off, the hospital will make every effort to reinstate any appointments that have been cancelled as quickly as possible.
