Virtual Public Meetings about Whipps Cross Redevelopment Programme

September 28, 2020

The Whipps Cross Redevelopment Programme is hosting three virtual public meetings in October and
November in partnership with the local boroughs to present updates on its redevelopment programme, to
answer questions and to hear people’s views, which will help further shape their plans.
Hospital spokespeople will be joined on the panel by leaders from other organisations, including local
councils, commissioning groups and the wider east London health system, who are working in partnership
with the Trust on plans to redevelop the hospital and the land on which it sits.

In September 2020, Barts NHS Trust Health published ‘Building a Brighter Future for Whipps Cross –
Moving to the next stage’, which offers a summary of the vision for the new Whipps Cross Hospital. The
plans set out in the document, which will be tested more thoroughly in the next, more detailed planning phase, include initial assumptions about the scope and size of a new hospital and plans to improve health
and care services for the local population.

The public meetings will take place across the three local boroughs (Waltham Forest, Redbridge and Epping Forest District.

The Waltham Forest meeting is on 15 October, 6:30-8:30pm
