Asking for inappropriate medicine review

I contacted the surgery to get some painkillers which are on my prescription. I had just left hospital after kidney transplant and was in a lot of pain. They would not prescribe and have asked for a medicine review in two weeks time. This means that vital medicine I need is on hold until after the review. I think this is totally inappropriate given my situation and now risk running out of medicine before the review. I know this is an inappropriate review timing as i then went via 111 and they agreed to dispense the painkillers. The pharmacist could not dispense as the Dhital surgery has them on hold. The pharmacist said this was 'cruel' given my considerable post-op pain .
Today I had to wait 15 minutes on the phone

When my phone picked up, I asked for appointment to see the Dr, the receptionist offered me the appointment to speak to a Dr on 5th May 2023.

It isn't easy to see a doctor as everything is locked up at the moment.

Expect to spend an hour on the phone to get through the reception. Twice in the past week I have been told that there isn't an appointment left. There is no sense of urgency and some of the reception staff is clearly not trained to handle patients online or through phones. They are slow and very unhelpful, which is especially difficult if you are dealing with an emergency or are anxious. The doctors are good but are very badly let down by the reception staff.

Reception staff quite rude. Ignore you completely when you're standing there. Appointments are rushed . The atmosphere of the practice itsefl is not very good and essentially this has pushed me away from this practice into private

My daughter was prescribed incorrect medication here, she is not very keen on the doctor.

It is always difficult to get through on the phone. When I attend the service I have to wait to see the receptionist. Seating arrangements are not very good in waiting area.

Waiting for a Hernia operation. The surgery has scheduled me with the Roding for my operation appointment.
