Poor Service

The surgery is very uncooperative. Have had problems with hearing and blood clots were discovered on the brain in January. Was told four months ago that would be referred to an ENT specialist, but still hasn't received an appointment. Has had two falls since then. Has chased, but still no appointment.

The surgery is normally very efficient, although it has become harder to book an appointment since the pandemic. Had a bad experience when needed to see a doctor and was told to go to A&E by receptionist. Eventually managed to see GP and received good treatment. A&E was not necessary. Did not feel listened to by reception staff on that particular occasion.

This is a great surgery however I am very eager for face-to-face (F2F) appointments to be reinstated. I recently had a telephone consultation and I found communication with the doctor difficult due to his accent. In a F2F appointment this wouldn't have been problematic because you could rely on different forms of communication which are simply not possible over the phone; F2F should be the patient's choice. Unless I make of point of being seen by the same doctor, I will be seen by a different doctor every time. Getting through to someone on the phone and scheduling an appointment has improved since COVID but I would prefer being able to schedule appointments online as I used to. Please reinstate the online appointment booking system, I am not sure why this has been stopped.
