Trying to Get a Doctors Appointment for over a Month, Call back Services & Phone Lines Not Working Properly
I am 90 and was diagnosed with anaemia but my GP didn't follow up and it was a year until anyone did anything about it.

I am 90 and was diagnosed with anaemia but my GP didn't follow up and it was a year until anyone did anything about it. I saw a locum and I got more out of him in a few mornings than with my GP. He was a Godsend.

Very poor service. The surgery hasn't reached out at any point during the pandemic to see if my elderly mother is okay. I feel completely out of touch with the surgery. There is no personal relationship with them anymore.

It's really tough to look after a vulnerable person's healthcare and this surgery have made it so difficult I'd rather avoid them if I could. My father is elderly with Alzheimer's and complicated history of health problems. He's been denied nurses to visit him, our concerns have been brushed off while he deteriorates and I've been made to call a lot of different facilities because the reception staff cant access our information properly. Each appointment is given up to 10 minutes and you can only mention up to 3 things at a time. I don't know how this is meant to help anyone and this is not a very supportive environment.

I tried to get through today on behalf of my Daughter who is 10 years old. She had a small lump and I needed advice. The reception were very polite and treated it seriously. I very rarely have not got an appt. quickly. as receptionists are always polite and helpful.

Over the years had misdiagnoses for my children. Including daughter had fractured pelvis, doctor said to just take ibuprofen which when taken to hospital found out was much more serious. My daughter also had an eating disorder when she was younger and the doctor said "as long as she's drinking water" and the tone was not nice at all. I think communication with patients needs to be improved and doctors are not very competent there.

I had a phone consultation with my doctor and he prescribed me some antibiotics.
There were no issues with the prescription and luckily I have been feeling well enough to not need another consultation.
