The staff are always helpful
Eye clinic
May 13, 2021
I have an eye condition which means I need regular appointments every 4-5 weeks. Even during the pandemic the service has been reliable and I have been able to get the appointments that I need. The staff are always helpful and social distancing within the clinic is well maintained.

Badly managed, avoid if you can

Unqualified personal, they forget what patients they're with, waited 5h for a scan. Very bad managed. Avoid this place if you can go for another option!

Good service, but a lot of waiting at each stage of the process.
The majority of my experiences in this hospital have been unpleasant.

Disgraceful. STAY AWAY! Rude, condescending and unhelpful staff. Not what you would expect from a hospital! The majority of my experiences in this hospital have been unpleasant. Recently, I had an appointment booked via telephone. I cleared time for this appointment only for no-one to even bother to call me. I then chased up on this, being transferred from one department to the next with clueless staff who fob you off. I finally got through to the department only to be greeted with an answering machines where I have left messages. STILL, I have not received a call back. Additionally, every time I've had surgery at outpatients, the nurses continue to come over and pester you about how they need the bed. In other words, hurry up with your recovery. I figured educated people would know that the effects of anesthesia don't wear off quite as quickly as you hope! If you're looking to be treated like a human by people who actually have some empathy and basic manners, then steer clear of this place. BE WARNED. I will be transferring myself to another hospital.
Very unprofessional staff in the maternity ward, been here twice the first time was hectic.

Very unprofessional staff in the maternity ward, been here twice the first time was hectic. They didn't know what they were doing we stayed for way longer than we needed doing unecessary blood tests making my wife even more week. All the x ray machines were not working so we had to wait even longer while my wife's in severe pain. This time very rude midwives telling my wife not to scream as she's giving birth telling her to stop screaming and very rude. Swearing in the background and also male doctor came in when we specifically told them no males for religious reasons and yet they barged in with no respect for our privacy. The nurses knew this yet they did not inform the doctors this and did not say anything when it happened I had to tell them myself. Useless and no manners at all. I would avoid coming here again
Couldn't fault my experience
April 22, 2021
I gave birth to my first baby at the end of 2020 and couldn't fault my experience. I was able to have a water birth in the newly renovated midwife led unit and it was clean, modern and I received excellent care from two midwives and a student midwife. I stayed in overnight in a private room, my husband stayed too, which had been one of my biggest worries due to Covid, and I was looked after so well I felt like I was in a private hospital. Every single midwife/member of staff we interacted with during our stay was polite and professional and couldn't do enough for us. Thank you very much.
